Does anyone know of a poem or story that praises grandparents, particularly grandfathers? The only poem I know that says anything about grandparents is "Over the River and through the Woods." It may not be the
right title, but it's the first line anyway.

Here is a song, "My Grandfather's Clock", which might fit what you are looking for: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCFXhn9mMB0

Here's one that underlines the wisdom of the aged.

I'll have to remember to check what's in the chair should I ever get one.

Here's another one called I'm My Own Grandpa. The video contains not lyrics in this case but a diagram of how this is possible:

Rip van Winkle?

The Rip Van Winkle suggestion reminded me of a recent movie "Bad Grandpa". This movie doesn't look like it "praises grandfathers" until the very end, and maybe not even then, but I did enjoy it.
