Just logged in to record Germany up 2-nil but they've scored again - twice. It's now 4 nil.

I was just about to say this could be 4 -0 and they scored 3 in 5 minutes.

errr make that 4 in six minutes!

Wow, Scher, that was quite a comeback for you.

I think you mentioned your "home country" or something earlier. Where are you from originally?

Breath-taking! I am giddy with joy! :D

And, yes. Had a bit of a turn of fortune and been earning a coin or two :goof:

Amazing game last night. A pity for Brazil.

I haven't actually seen Argentina play in this world cup - only highlights. Holland have been both good and average, so I'm in a bit of a dither here.

Watched all the Holland Argentina game including extra time. Then, in the interval before the penalties, I fell asleep and missed the lot. Bah. Woke to the pundits discussing something else.

Enjoyed the game up to then.

I'm really glad a South American team reached the final, but is anyone really going to bet against Germany?

All 38 Brazucas on Germany.

Germany look the team. 345 on them.

Argentina were good, especially in defence. Some of the tackles on Robben were excellent. Germany seemed to be better in all areas. Be a great win for Argentina if they did beat them.

I'm pulling for Germany. There is something about the German team that pulls at the heartstrings: the surgical tactics, the clinical execution, the discipline, the structure, the fighting spirit (Kampfgeist) and team orientation always superseding individual brilliance and leading the team to victory analogous to “Modell Deutschland’s”

When the Germans in the Pub chant "Deutschland" "Deutschland" "Deutschland" it's chilling and so cute.

My fave team from this world cup were Columbia, they seemed to enjoy it and were fearless. They also had the best celebration dance, and the best young player in James (or Yamez ) Rodriguez.

I'm undecided about best goal, either Van Persie's header or David Luiz's free kick. There were many good goals but those two were a bit different.

The biggest disappointments were not England this time, as we all knew their qualities - or lack of them - beforehand,
but Spain! What happened there?

The Man of the Tournament has to be Suarez. I mean, biting someone then falling down claiming he'd injured his teeth is perversely magnificent.

Germany are probably going to be best team, and are also the best for the number of rolls along the ground after a "foul". Klose probably holds the record for this, as well as for the most world cup goals ever

It's too bad it's not an all European final - that's what everyone was rooting for in the Caribbean, but it'll be cool to have one South American play against Germany. Can't wait!

Snowqueen

Germany have been the best side in this tournament and it would be great to see a European team winning the world cup on South American soil. Argentina are the underdogs, but they have been very compact defensively.

I think Van Persie's header was the best goal of the tournament.

We have slap load of Surinamese in the Caribbean - obviously. I shall tell them of open arms of Greece.

Congrats to Germany, but well played Argentina.

That was a real struggle, the unstoppable force against the immovable object. Both teams had good chances before Gotze's brilliant instinctive goal, it took him less than a second - and years of practice - to chest the ball and sweep it into the net. A great winning goal.

What on earth are we going to do now it's all over?

It was a great game and a great tournament. I really enjoyed it. And congratulation to Germany, they deserved that.

I didn't know the brazucas were made in Sialkot. Amazing stuff!

I wouldn't normally support the square heads, but when the alternative is Argentina

Actually, I could not have argued with Argentina winning; they had the better chances. Still, chances are all very well, but it's goals that count.

Messi, Player of the tourney????? I suppose he generates the most cash.

I'd put Masserano Robben and Schweinsteiger before him, and others if I could think of them.
