I gaze at pictures of her,
Each a snapshot of perfection.
The glow of her light can be seen
Even through the dull polaroid.
Her eyes, her cheeks, her lips,
All so full of life.
Nothing could be more precious
Than to see her vivid smile.
Her heart is as pure as gold,
Her skin warm to the touch.
But all I have is this picture
She is a fair distance away.
Four hundred miles I would walk
To see her shining face.
What I have I would give away
To hold her close again.
Each a snapshot of perfection.
The glow of her light can be seen
Even through the dull polaroid.
Her eyes, her cheeks, her lips,
All so full of life.
Nothing could be more precious
Than to see her vivid smile.
Her heart is as pure as gold,
Her skin warm to the touch.
But all I have is this picture
She is a fair distance away.
Four hundred miles I would walk
To see her shining face.
What I have I would give away
To hold her close again.
