One time I mixed some ground espresso into hot chocolate powder: also delicious.

why not both.

My thoughts exactly. Don't deprive yourself of either when you can have a mocha in the morning, or indeed a spicy mocha if you're feeling adventurous.

I have never heard of Bavarian coffee, the closest I got with chocolate/coffee is Mocha/coffee.
Great idea actually ground expresso and hot chocolate thanks!

I love both. Espresso on the way to work. But I think tea deserves a mention here. Tea first thing in the morning for me. A hot chocolate I would have at night or during winter at a cafe. Ever notice that some cafes don't serve the hot chocolate as hot as their coffee though? And I never have it with marshmallows.

If forced to choose between the two, any rational person would surely choose chocolate.

Count me as crazy -- I'd take coffee over chocolate without hesitation.

Coca-cola! I can't start the morning without it!

But chocolate is a must too--particularly during those hormonal times.

Oh, I drink coffee every morning, but if I realy had to choose and ban one forever, I would still choose chocolate. As a spoilt Belgian, chocolate is the one for me: it has always something surprising (apart from when you live in Germany). Coffee is just coffee, but chocolate... There is nothing so satisfactory as biting into a nice Neuhaus or Leonidas chocolate and to discover a wonderful creamy or alcoholic filling...

I don't like chocolate. I cannot eat it and I have tried several times.
Coffee is ok however I only drink first time in the morning, I can't stand the taste after say 7 O'Clock AM.

Wow, hard one..
Nicer to drink coffee than chocolate, no? I mean, it's healthier in a way...on the other hand chocolate tastes better than coffee..

I am not so sure being slim is to do with eating chocolate.
The same could be said about water.
I think it is a myth.
Eating anything regularly and in moderation is key.

I thought so too, but I guess not. Chocolate is sweet and coffee is bitter, no contest.

That could be a fun way to start helping someone lose weight.

"Step 1, and this is very important, regular intake of chocolate is a must. You're going to cocoa your way down those waist sizes!"

I thought chocolate was only for drinking or eating!
Food is for eating as nature intended surely!?

Interesting I thought it was the other way around, chocolate beans or coco is bitter and coffee beans are sweetish?
I might be wrong...:p

I like a mixture of both. I like to get a chocolatey cream to add to my coffee every now and again.

No contest. Chocolate when I'm hungry, and coffee when I'm thirsty.

The other way round is not so good - chocolate when you're thirsty and coffee when you're hungry ...

Chocolate, any kind at any time really ;). I don't like coffee that much, I'm much more into tea.
