Chapter one- The other child – prologue
Cody was not your average child growing up, He would rather be alone than make friends, and during his time in elementary school he would always sit next to an oak tree about 20 feet from the rusty swing set covered in age and graffiti. All the kids shunned for the fear of what they don't understand. Cody wasn't always like this. When he was merely five his mother and father vanished out of trace, the police force searched for them for 11 months but no evidence was found. The loss of his parent put a hole through his heart he was alone. His Uncle took him in when he had nothing to live for. Though his uncle lives with a mental disability Cody never felt so loved, but that didn't end the deep depression he still carries. Even though he hasn't seen his parents for 5 years he still wonders what happened to them, will they come back? He hopes that one day he will find them and just hold them in his arms once more.
Chapter two- High school blues.
Today was Cody's first day of high school it wasn't very new to him, all it seemed was kids bigger and more hard headed. He stepped in through the door stopping to scan the area; it had a very distinct smell of air freshener. He ignored the burning in his nose and kept the more important things in the front of his mind. After one of the secretaries’ show him to his locker it wasn't in the matter of time he found himself pinned against his locker by a pea brained senior. The gigantic behemoth spoke in a threatening tone "Oh my god, look at this freak!", his friend laughed, Cody said nothing he stood silently with his face pressed against the cold steel. "Hey leave him alone you!", a girl yelled down the hallway, The bullies look at each other than to her, She wore black jeans with tears in the knees, and a Asking Alexandria band T-shirt, her skin was porcelain and her hair was pitch black hanging just over her eyes. Cody has never seen someone as beautiful as her, well in his perspective anyways. The bully said in mockery "Or what? You’re gonna' suck my blood?", Just before she was able to rely in a snide comment a teacher on hall duty spotted the commotion and asked what was going on. Before you knew it the bullies fled and went off to class, "I suppose you stay out of trouble young man, or next time won't be a warning, now off to class", the teacher said, then walked away. "Hey are you alright" the girl asked Cody, "Yeah I guess so" Cody replied, "so what’s your name?", "my-my names Cody" he answered, "well hello Cody, My name is Priscilla, I guess I will see you around, I'm kinda' late for class" She said then left. Cody thought it was love at first site. Maybe high school won’t be so bad after all.
Chapter three – The call
At last! The bell finally rang. The halls were now flooded with teachers trying to keep order and students trying to escape the clutches of the school. Cody walked out with accomplishment, he finished his first day. Now he just has to walk home. After his foot touches the pavement the girl calls out to him from nowhere, "Cody! I've been looking everywhere for you, come meet my friends". Cody didn't really have much of a choice, he certainly didn't want to ignore her, So then he proceeds his way towards her small group of friends, All dressed in black as Priscilla and as well as him. "This is Damien, Alexis, and Lucian", she introduced "and this is Cody guys." All of them said hello to Cody. Cody was shy at first he's never really been in a group before, it was all new to him. They then walked with each other until all of them split up to walk separate ways towards home. After Priscilla said goodbye Cody was then alone, back to what he was use too. Once he got home, the house was a lot quieter than usual. His uncle was sleeping on the coach, so he made to his room as noiseless as possible to avoid waking him up. After all, the doctor advised his uncle to rest often. After he made it to his room he opened the top drawer if his dresser to where he keeps the only picture of his parents from before they disappeared. He studied the picture then fell onto his bed an fell asleep. Its wasn't until the late afternoon he woke up to hear his house phone ring. He looked at his alarm clock to see what time it is 7:00, he groaned. Once he picked up the phone he said "hello?" No one answered, he then asked again "Hello? Is anyone there?" He then heard breathing "Come on I can hear you, now answer me", he was getting irritated now. Then the person on the other line finally spoke. "I know where they are..."
