So, I'm wanting to read Don Quixote, and was wondering if anyone has suggestions on good translations of the work, maybe with footnotes to help someone not so familiar with the history and dated references.

I'm in the same boat as well... eventually I'll pick up Don Quixote after I get this huge workload of novels read, but as for translation, it really shouldn't be a big deal.

My first bet is Edith Grossman for translator.
