well the day got better today, thanks for asking...the doc picked up some lemons, tea, bananas and almonds from the grocery...got a nice jog in around the lake and was able to read a bit, too...

I had a rather unpleasant experience in a food court at lunch. Sat down to eat my dinner at a table, stick my fork in and look over to the other side of the table, a cockroach! Right there on the table. I got it with a napkin and squished the little bastard. At least it wasn't in the food. But it makes me question the sanitary conditions in those foodcourt restaurants.

Edit: Used dinner there in the Quebec-French sense of lunch, in case someone became confused.

I wrote an entire economic-technical proposal which includes a gant chart, definitions of deliverables, test scripts, case studies of previous installations, two dozen screen-shots, and a detailed analysis of costs -- all for a complicated four-month project.

Pity we don't have a chance in hell of winning the bid.

8. Pretty good for a work day. This was the first day on my new shift which includes a 10-hour Sunday. It was slow enough I managed to read 80 pages into The Hunger, by Knut Hamsun. Hard to complain about that.
