'sokay, you don't come off as an arse, not to me. but you should see Lost in Translation, with Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson, it might change your mind about her, and the movie itself is beautiful, imho. There is a scene that is both appealing and heart-wrenching where she and Bill go out with some friends in Tokyo to a Karaoke Bar, she sings the old Pretender's song...Brass In Pocket. There's this exchange between them that moves, he's a deeply unhappily-married famous actor doing whisky advertisements in Japan, and she's an intelligent but stagnating newlywed married to an emotionally distant arse. whew. you should just see it. I doubt you'd hate her in the end, she's not like Julia Roberts, there's more depth there.
