An Inuit man gets ready
to run his sled across the snowy plain.

The heart of another
is more unknown to us
than the far side of the moon

All the world’s sadness
and all the world’s pain
would fit within the tip
of God’s pinky finger.

And peace shall come
to war-torn Africa, Somalia, Darfur,
the Middle East, and to
your clanging heart...

On first read, as you referred in another thread to Eliot who was so correct.

This read like a compass. Its needle grounded at the center as you scribe a world, inscrutable, bent and moving as its aurora.

I love it! How true are these words: "The heart of another is more unknown to us than the far side of the moon...". And this "And peace shall come...to your clanging heart."

This is much more than a snippet Prince, this is the world in a tea cup.

I Loved this poem, the wonderful way you can take me with you to far places and intimate moments is a wonder.

The fact is my lovely and loving friend that I can't take anybody anywhere they aren't ready and willing to go!
