He had had bread and had read and so had fed his head as a sad mad head ahead him said: 'Lad, head to bed.' Not glad he fled instead. The sad mad head turned red and said ' Ned, head to bed, I said'! Ned pled and pled but too bad: his dad led him to bed. Again Ned fled with dread. Soon Ned had a red thread on his head: bloodshed. He bled like mad. Ned was dead.

Look who's been reading too much Dr. Seuss. Hope you had fun though!
Ah, to play!
To dance a dervish dance.
To prance a pirate parrot polka,
sailing across shiny floors sinlessly.
Don't worry, it will get better. The madness will pass. :)

Haha, well complemented, prendrelemick!
Oh Silas, I apologise; indeed, this is more an exercise than something to be read by others, and yes, it was fun, especially when I managed to make some sort of plot out of it. I do admit that it's not the most melodic piece of writing ever, though!
So, I basically tried to make a coherent story out of as many 'ed'-sounding words as I could come up with. If there's any variant that I missed tell me and I'll try and incorporate it ;) except for 'sled' and 'wed', those I couldn't cram in!

Why apologise?I was just kidding. :) It's fun to play with language, that was my point. You told us it was an exercise.
