Haha yeh the triangles get alot of people. The answer is True, as you put three toothpicks to make one triangle then use the other three to make a 3d pyramid, hence 4 equilateral triangles.

It is not how much you got correct on this test has the biggest influence on the score, but how fast you are at processing it also influences it a LOT. I got 160 first time around, but figured I'd go back and look over the answers, being paranoid as I am ever since those guinea pigs betrayed me. So I went back one page, looked over the answers again, and clicked the bottom link again and now I have 144, without changing a single answer, just taking a little longer. So take into account that processing speed on this test has a huge influence on the final score. More so than it should if you ask me, especially for non-native speakers this can have a strong influence on their final result.

Having said that, I found it to be a mediocre test of my IQ, I prefer to have a Martian IQ test, on which I score human, which is quite laughable for Martians. They consider that a very low score. They still like me though, I bring more than just intelligence to their kingdom. :)

I got a 119. The test is really too short to be accurate, but I do believe my 119 is accurate because I took a LONG IQ test once and scored "between 112 and 129." And I think I'm a lot closer to 112 than 129. LOL I think I'm about average.

Edit - I just went back and did it quickly and I got a 144. LOL No way!

There's no way my IQ is 144. The 119 is more like it. I don't know what my IQ really is, but I do know I'm only of "average" intelligence or just a smidgen above, whatever a "smidgen" is. LOL

When I looked on the site it says it is a 12 minute test, so you probably get bonus points for finishing early and lose points for being slow. It was still fun for a few minutes :D

I once did an IQ test from mensa (they score in percentiles rather than points)
And I am pleased to say I am somewhere in the high 70s percentile. (you have to be in the 98th or higher to be in mensa.)
I think that one is pretty accurate because it touches on alot of different subjects. (logic, math, even trick questions)
I was in the 90s on trick questions. :)

I did a mensa test once. It was long time ago, but it's still just an IQ test, you can train yourself for it, get acquainted with the type of questions asked etc. It won't make you a genius, but it can get you a few extra points easy, especially if the time it took to complete is taken into account.

Also, never ever compare results from different IQ tests and think you are smarter/dumber than someone else. The scale might be different, the questions harder, there are too many factors that can influence the result. Although if they are somewhat similar tests and one gets 80 and the other 150, the 150 person is probably smarter.

An IQ test, if anything is a nice indication, but that is all it is.
