She peels a red onion
layer by layer,
weeps for love
of her betrayer.

Absent minded
cuts tomatoes through,
to blend into
a bitter-cold stew.

Tear drops, mixed in
with a wooden spoon.
For a love, once hot,
grown cold...too soon!

Damn!...it's starting again...

And, once more
I pull it apart.
She said this,
I said that.
It all began
from nothing,
then, escalated,
got real bad, stopped
when two doors slammed.
It's been running
around my mind
again and again,
making me agitated.
Feel a little sick,
nauseous like,
but, I've simmered down,
well, almost.

Damn!...it's starting again...

I will never look at gazpacho the same way again. Shakespeare said the play's the thing, but I say the metaphor's the thing-and I like this one. Your second poem-clever!
