As the title suggests, does anyone know if there are any good books out there about templar knights and/or crusaders? I've read the 'Arn - Templar Knight' trilogy by the swedish author Jan Guillou (now also a major motion picture trilogy), but I would like to read more about it. Doesn't really matter wether it's a novel or anything else.
Thanks
I own a book called The Knights Templars & The Key of Solomon the King by A. Bothwell-Gosse and S. Liddell MacGregor Mathers (http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&EAN=9780765353962&itm=2), respectively. Unfortunately, it is out of stock at B&N (the link I provided) so you will have to search elsewhere (try Amazon.com) to find it.
I'm not sure if this will interest you, but I also own a book called The Holy Grail by Giles Morgan (http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&EAN=9781904048343&itm=1).
Both are cheap if you can get your hands on them.
EDIT: I searched amazon.com for the first book I mentioned, but it was also out of stock there. Here's a link; the customer review is very helpful: The Knights Templars & The Key of Solomon the King by A. Bothwell-Gosse and S. Liddell MacGregor Mathers (http://www.amazon.com/Knights-Templars-Key-Solomon-King/dp/0765353962/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1198899511&sr=8-1).
Oh, wait a second! If you're quick about it, you might be able to purchase it from the UK amazon.com. Here's the link: The Knights Templars & The Key of Solomon the King by A. Bothwell-Gosse and S. Liddell MacGregor Mathers (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Knights-Templars-Key-Solomon-King/dp/0765353962). There's only one more in stock!

Thanks for your reply! I think I would be more interested in book 1, The Knights Templars. I found a nice edition on ABEbooks, http://www.abebooks.co.uk/servlet/BookDetailsPL?bi=1001678973&searchurl=an%3DBothwell-Gosse%26bi%3Dh%26sortby%3D3%26tn%3DThe%2BKnights%2 BTemplars%26x%3D0%26y%3D0
I really liked the image on the front, think I might buy it.

I'm glad I could be of some assistance. :)
For crusader-related books:
You might also want to look into reading Ivanhoe by Sir Walter Scott. I forgot to mention Fighting Techniques of the Medieval World (http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&EAN=9780312348205&itm=1). This great book contains several illustrations and such concerning weapons, tactics, and combat skills. Quickly looking at the index (I own this book also), the book seems to include information (double-page diagrams of each battle are included) concerning the following battles: Albigensian, Arsuf, Constantinople, and Nicopolis. Perhaps it might be of some interest. It's an excellent book, in my opinion.

The best that I know of is Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco.

You might try Gerussalemme Liberata by Tasso - just make sure you find a good translation.
