As I watch the sunrise
In all its splendor
It saddens my heart
And makes it tender
It’s a once in a life time
Opportunity to see its
Elegance and fortuity
Though more will come
The significance of this one
Will not be numbed
The events through the night
That led to this
Will not be missed
As they bring a new life for us
That will last way beyond dusk.
