I'm fascinated by books that have relevance to the real world and how it works. I read animal farm; what a beautifully done analogy to real world communism. I read freakanomics and found the stories illuminating which was strange because they focused around obscure numbers that didn't look like they'd hold much usefulness at face value. (Of course the author knew better)
I'm interested in more books like that. I love to learn how people think, what motivates them, the what and why of out history (loved guns, germs, and steele also BTW), anything along those lines. I think I'll pick up Fight Club even though I've seen the movie already. Anyone have other good recommendations?
