I never saw real snow, but I enjoyed making figures out of earth when I was a kid and lived in a house with garden. Lawns, in this country IMHO (and not within a park setting on rare occasion), are detestable manicured time sinks full of chemicals including fertilizers and other poisons. Meadows are nature's way of saying all flowers and grasses are welcome :)
