Have you ever decided against purchasing something knowing it might have been prodced in a sweatshop?
Stargazer86
05-17-2009, 02:41 PM
yes.
I recently clicked on the link on Athiest's sig and plan on buying from that shop from now on for a lot of jewlery, clothes, gifts etc. They employ people in third world areas fairly and with decent wages and conditions. We cannot encourage large companies to profit off of abuse and overwork of the less fortunate. I have never bought Nike shoes for this reason.
What is your signature style in how you look/dress?
Chava
05-17-2009, 03:39 PM

BienvenuJDC
05-17-2009, 04:15 PM

Is that the attraction to CS Lewis...and have you read any of his other works?
The Walker
05-23-2009, 03:47 PM
well C.S. Lewis could describe in words through his imagination what i could not. He just totally impressed me.Unfortunately i havent read any other of his works but i want to desesperately hehehe. It is a problem when you dont have a book store in your town you know?
Do you like C.S. Lewis too? or who is your favorite writer and why?
Chava
05-23-2009, 03:59 PM
I never really got into CS. Lewis. I had the Witch, the Lion, and the Wardrobe as a kid, but the cover creeped me out, so I never read it. My favourite author is probably F.Scott Fitzgerald, because his style of writing will always be the ideal to me, capturing people and sentiments so well.

Do you like drinking beer in the shower?
Stargazer86
05-23-2009, 08:55 PM
Never done it. I don't like watered down beer which is why I don't drink Coors or Budweiser :P But I do drink wine in the tub sometimes
What is your favorite alcoholic beverage?
BienvenuJDC
05-23-2009, 09:28 PM
I suppose that it would be a wine (cooler) or something such, but I've never drank any...
What would you suggest that I should try if I ever do try any?
Eh, it depends on your palate's preferences. I know almost nothing about liquor, with the exception of absinthe (definitely an acquired taste); in terms of beer, one can never go wrong with a lager or ale; with wine, most people either love or hate reds (I love them), but a chardonnay (a white wine) seems to fit most people's likenesses - sweet, not dry, not wet, and it goes well with many foods - in terms of red wines, pinot noir, no contest.
Have you ever drank to the point of passing out or losing your memory of the drunken escapades?
BienvenuJDC
05-23-2009, 10:38 PM
Since I've never drank...then no...
Should I ever start drinking?

Should I drink more juice?
JuniperWoolf
05-24-2009, 01:48 AM
That depends on how much juice you drink already. My doctor told me I was drinking too much orange juice.
Do you think that its important to experience everything that you possibly can, just for experience's sake or do you value conservative self-preservation more?
Unless it does not involve any act too extreme, or something that would harm someone else, physically or emotionally, I would rather regret doing something than to regret not doing something.
Good one - same question.
BienvenuJDC
05-24-2009, 08:28 PM
To experience for experience sake...it depends on the risk........it could really go either way
(i.e. certain drugs...short term experience vs. long term consequences)
Have you ever taken drugs stronger than pot or alcohol?
No.

JuniperWoolf
05-25-2009, 12:31 AM
I don't like typical film-style relationship romance (like that movie, The Notebook... crap). I don't know. I like comedy, and new places. Nature is romantic, especially when I'm alone.
