Some fifteen years ago I was sitting in my mates wedding and a piece of Russian literature (prose) was read out. It was concerned with the nature of love and was very impact full. Over the years I have half heartedly looked for it but failed. Its my wedding next week and I would really like to find it. Any one have any idea what it was? I have the feeling it may have been by Dostoevesk, but am not sure.
Not much to go on I know but any help welcomed.

Yer does seam a bit lame doesn’t it. I remember the feel of it more than anything. It dealt with the nature of love and the of course there was some good old Russian tragic stuff. Pain and struggle,
OK lets widen it can any one suggest something good for a reading at my wedding next week. No cheese allowed.
May be Ill stick to Tomas Hardy as that has a history with my lass. In fact I pretty much got her in bed by texting her Hardy. Hey if it works go with it right!
Are you sure it was prose? I know Pushkin wrote quite a few good lines in verse. Perhaps maybe it was Tolstoy? No real idea, your description is quite vague.
