Although I didn't find quite the right hair or face, that is my likeness of Scher. It is not too different from Kathy's version, though. The portraits I create reflect my opinion/impression of the subject. Anyway, this means that

I took a picture of Beast-boy/Changeling I have on my computer and erased the background. Then I just saved a doll with no fills, except for background and name. The rest was a matter of fitting the two together and doing some blend painting. Hardest one I've done so far. I have another "Robin" I haven't posted yet, because I thought you'd like the other better. I mess with picture editing all the time. I have done all my characters from the dolls sight, and since one is African-American, I had to do some painting, but he turned out fine, a tough cowboy! :thumbs_up

Well, there aren't a lot of options to make them otherwise. I have a friend who is really a very serious, depressed yet creative and thoughtful person and someone who dresses very sensibly, very 'no-frills' and I was trying to make one for her and it was horrible because there are no backgrounds appropriate for depressed people and there are very few clothing options for people who are not fancy dressers. :rolleyes: As fun as the dolls are, they do have their limitations.

And I do like to add sparkly things, Pen is great at adding random accessories and I'm great at adding sparkles. ;) :D

I like the dress much better than the one I had, Pendragon, thank you and I hate to be picky :p ...but...Idril should have blonde hair, "...she was golden as the Vanyar, her mother's kindred...", although dark was a good guess, whether you knew it or not because she's Noldor on her father's side and they always have dark hair...except for Maedhros but that's a whole other story...anyway, now that you know more than you could ever want to know about elvish geneology, yes, Idril should be blonde...and barefoot but if she has to wear shoes, you picked a good color, her second name is Celebrindal which means 'silver foot' and those shoes almost look like they could be called silver so I think she may agree to wear those. ;)

You know that picture actually looks like another elvish princess, Luthien, who is probably the top dog as far as elvish princesses go or I suppose you could even say it looks a little like Arwen since they were supposed to have a similar look.

I did that once too. I was sick of the long hair so I chopped it all off and I was so traumatized! :bawling: I really don't know what I was thinking but at least I know I can never do that again. For some reason I was thinking shorter hair was easier to care for but it's not, it's infinitely more difficult and time consuming. And you're so limited! For the most part, for work and such, my hair is in a pony tail or braid but when I want to get all dolled up, I love that I have several options depending on how much energy I feel like expending.

Yeah, they do have the tendency to abduct extraordinary people. They even have an instution for it. It's called the Martian institute of extraordinary science. It's considered somewhat of a national treasure :D Only very few people are put on permanent display though. Most are only there for a week or so, and are send back after their popularity with the average martian wears off. :)

I just love the way the little piglets are peaking through and over the fence. That worked out quite nicely because the piglets were animated and when I save them, I never know where the animation is going to stick but I couldn't have planned that better. :thumbs_up

And Pen, even if the pictures are way off, they are still a work of art and you put so much effort into them. And I've always thought it fascinating to see how other people see you, it's sometimes very illuminating and sometimes confusing but always amusing. ;)

Actually, I've had nothing but positive feedback, even if I got the picture off, I am just a person who wishes to have no one upset with me for any reason. I take some long shots with the pictures, and someone may not be pleased with the results. I would remove that picture. On the other hand, I would create one for anybody as well, so if I missed you, and you'd like a picture, that's fine as well. I did think that some people were not pleased with their pictures but didn't want to hurt my feelings. I'd rather know the truth. I like to have fun with these things, add little surprises into the pictures and stuff, but if you really don't like it, be honest and tell me to take it down. I will survive.:)
