Hey Snail can u tell me how to save a dol after it is finished and how to put it here? and yes how do you write names on them...?Strictly from the sight, you save the picture by clicking on PNG. You can write a name on it by typing in the box, then adding anything to the picture. The name will add in as well. Some of the things I have done require saving the picture to my computer and photo-editing. Then I upload to Photobucket and post from there. It allows for longer names and special things like Adil's Wizard Staff, Shalot's lightsaber, and the Suger-Gliders for Serenata to be put in. :)

I've had people tell me I missed the mark before, but it's all about your conception of the person. If you have a picture to get things like hair color, glasses, beard, male/female, fine. I use both the candybar dollmaker (the link in the beginning of the thread) and another called Dollwizard. Candybar is good because there is a lot of variety of hair and clothing options, plus backgrounds. Dollwizard is good because there is more variety in choosing skin tones, ect. The pain in the neck part is that Dollwizard's saving options are broken, so every one that I make has to be saved via me taking a screenshot and then pasting it into the paint program. It is currently on the back burner. I am nearly three chapters into a story starring my Paranormal Investigator, Dr. Mortimer Graves. And I have had four Shadow stories go on site within the last month. So I'm re-stocking my outlines for more stories. I have a new character and a new story finished, but-- I may save it. Next year's competition will roll around before you know it! Check out the story at the bottom of this post. ;)

Oh, mine came from the doll site itself. You have to poke around in odd corners... You get the mermaid by clicking on full body. All you can change is face and I added a headpiece and background. That is the limit of full bodies, you must take the hair that comes with it. I have hand painted a few for Afro-American friends with good success! Any Picture editing program will do it.

I checked the site out. I know mermaids are supposed to be beautiful and they're sort of sexy, but these mermaids are totally sexualized - that's what bugs me about fantasy art sometimes. I like understated sexuality in art - any kind of art. I especially like picassos where it's all jumbled up. I prefer not to be slapped across the face with it.

I should probably not be posting this because it's like I am bashing your post and that's not my intention at all --- just a little side rant in over-sexed art I guess. Sorry! Thanks for your attention.

O! How I long to grow a beard. My mustache connects with my chin hair, but that's the furthest it goes. I'm still trying, which is nothing more than patience.

I agree with the nose. I would have used it myself earlier, but the bridge is to short and it gives me more of a socratic snout.:lol:

In NYC, people believe I'm either Puerto Rican or Dominican, so that works. Havre, Mt I was thought to be black, which I am, but the buck doesn't stop there.;)

Had I found that hat before, I really think I would have had the dog right the first time too. The hair thing messed me up, but I never go bald on any man. Now I don't own pets any more. But I used to have a Bower Bird, A Mynah Bird, a heron, Magpie, a cat and a baby calf :D

And Niamh I am always clean shaven because I hate beards and stubble :-) They itch badly :-(

Pen, mine is cute - I do like to dress co-ordinated like that. I even wear minishirts - well a few years back and a few pounds thinner. Funny though I do wear those kinds of shirt with the tiers quite often. Hey, you have to modify my hair color - not red - just looked it in that photo I posted. It is more light brown, so say, dirty blond. My hairstyle now is shorter and curly too - maybe a little more like the one you gave to Kiz, but not platinum blond. Shoes are a little conservative for me. I wear either boots or flipflops in the summer - all kinds with bling bling and all! Hey, I am one crazy middle-aged lady! Also you got the shoulder bag right - I usually do carry a shoulder bag. Good work, Pen!
