Hello, all!
I am seeking help for my AP Literature class specific to Pride & Prejudice.
To be even more specific: Pemberley. I have been posed with a topic to create a discussion for however I wish to enlist the help of those in this forum so that I may strive for better understanding of my discussion. So, here it is:

"Many Critics cite Elizbeth's visit to Pemberley as a turning point in her cognizance of and attitude towards Darcy. Explain what Pemberley reveals about not only Darcy but also Elizabeth, her aunt, her uncle and the effect of Darcy's presence."

There it is. I was planning to lead off the discussion (five minutes) with descriptions about the symbolism that Pemberley provides for the novel. From there I was planning to address Elizabeth and her attitude/cognizance followed by Darcy and aunt and uncle. In conclusion I was planning to recount my points and hopefully come up with a very strong note to end upon. Thanks to any and all who can point out flaws in my tentative plan and discussion!

I think that Pemberley is where Elizabeth realizes that Darcy is a smart match. She talks with the people who work there and they help her to form a better idea of who Darcy really is. She sees the layout of Pemberley and further realizes that everything is richly designed but with practicality in mind. She comes to realize that Darcy may in fact be a better person than she earlier estimated. But then again, that speaks of the title representing the Prejudice part of it: never judge a book by its cover, never judge a possible relationship on first glance. How am I doin' so far? When Darcy returns to Pemberley, Elizabeth talks with him and gets to know him better. While doing so she warms to him. Her, a little symbolism is revealed (maybe even foreshadow...) by her and Darcy walking across the bridge over the stream symbolizing their future bond over the goodnatured stream which is themselves. Sorry about the confusion folks. thanks again for your assistance!
