I've read Silas Marner and Mill on the Floss in school - almost 14 years ago, but what I still remember about Eliot's writing is the her sensitive style. A very feminine way of writing too - soft and gentle, that immensely appealed to me. If you haven't read Mill on the Floss - I urge you to do so as soon as you can. You'll love it!
