    Hamlet's first soliloquy

"Oh, that this too too sullied flesh would melt ...
But break my heart, for I must hold my tongue."

I need to submit two essays on the soliloquy.

    1. How does the imagery of this passage serve the overall themes of the play?
    2. How does the diction of this passage underscore tension in the play?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
