    Football World Cup 2014

We all know how this goes...

    WORDL CUP GAME:

    - All start with 100 Forum coins

    - Everyone predicts the result of a game (not the score but the winner or a draw) and bet some Forum coins (which are yet to be named for this year)

    - If correct, you earn as many coins as you bet. If not, lose the amount you have bet.

    - All bets should be placed before the game starts.

    - At the end, whoever has the most coins is the winner.

This will require some track-keeping but we are all adults here (well, mostly) and I expect we are all honest as well so please no-post editing after the results.

    First up:

    Brazil v Crotia

I'm going to bet a cautious 25 coins on Brasil. I've been looking forward to this for...four years...

    50 coins on Brazil, please.

However, if anyone's looking to put some money on the match, I'd go for over 3 goals being scored in total (currently doubles your money on most web betting shops).

Boo, was hoping Croatia would win. Still, have to say Brazil were the better side.
According to Aldous Huxley, D.H. Lawrence once said that Balzac was 'a gigantic dwarf', and in a sense the same is true of Dickens.

They were. The last goal was a cracker, though the penalty was a bad decision. I thought Croatia played well though, particularly in the second half.

I now have 125 Brazukas. Good coinage.
