I think he's saying that St. Luke's might have a bone to pick with him over it.

Or maybe he'll blow a fuse

trying to get it off his chest.

    Happy Birthday!

    Happy Birthday, Stlukes!

    An interview with Stlukesguild:

*Are you sure you want to do this?*
    Not really.

    *So, how old are you?*
Old enough to know better... and not to care.

*If you had a personal theme song what would it be?*
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QamSjqX5ApM

I'm just loving this one right now.

*Are you male or female? *
    Male.

*If you owned the site, what would you change?*
I'd have un-moderated weeks where we might have an absolute free-for-all, murder, and mayhem.

*What was the inspiration for your LitNet username? And if you could change it today, what would you pick?*
St. Luke supposedly painted a portrait of the Virgin and Child. The Guilds of St. Luke were the painter's guilds during the middle-ages and Renaissance, and as I am a painter...

    *Which languages do you speak?*
English, Educationese, Art Speak, Ghetto, and snippets of German, French, Italian, etc...

*If you could live somewhere different, where would it be and why?*
Italy... or Paris... for the art.

Have you heard the news today, oh boy?
About a lucky man who made the grade...?

    *Do you have any pets?*
A dog... German Shepherd/Shar pei mix named Guenevere.

    *What makes you happy?*
Art, music, reading, traveling, spending time with friends...

*Which actor should play you in a movie based on your life?*
I've been told on more than one occasion that I look like Kelsey Grammer.

    Who is your favourite Beatle?
    John

*How do you like your coffee? *
    Lot's of cream... sugar.

*Given the option, what animal would you choose to be?*
Considering my dog... a dog's life don't look half bad... especially when she get's to sleep in while I'm on my way to work.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
A fireman, then a baseball player, then a comic-book artist...

*What makes you feel great about yourself?*
Finishing a painting (if it's good).

*How did you meet your significant other?*
I worked for her mother. She came with the job.

*What are you naturally good at? (Skills, abilities, gifts etc.)*
    Writing, drawing, painting, research...

*What is the one thing you must do before you die?*
    Visit the Sistine.

*If you had to teach something, what would you teach?*
Well I do have to teach, for better or worse, and I believe I'm supposed to be teaching art... but quite often it seems like what I'm really teaching is how to stay in your seat, stop shouting, raise your hand, and stop hitting the kid next to you.

*What would you regret not fully doing, being or having in your life?*
I regret not having gone directly on to grad school.

*Do you get tired living life?*
I'm not ready for the alternative as of yet.

*What one thing would you NEED to have on a deserted island if you didn't have to worry over food and water? *
Someone else... preferably an attractive member of the opposite sex.

*What’s the stupidest forum argument you’ve ever had?*
It would have to be an extended argument concerning Mozart... although the recent noise thread was quite stupid as well.

*What song is in your head at the moment?*
None... rather what is "in my head" is the Balakirev Symphony no. 2 that I'm listening to as I make a concerted effort to explore the music of the Russians a bit more.

*Which book are you reading at the moment?*
Who Murdered Chaucer- Terry Jones, etc... and An Oresteia (a trilogy of plays by Aeschylus, Sophocles, and Euripides translated by Anne Carson)

    *What is your favourite quote?*
"Suppose you were an idiot ... And suppose you were a member of Congress .. But I repeat myself."
    -Mark Twain

    *Favorite threads?*
"Classical Listening", "Classical Crushes", "Opera, Anyone?", "The other canon", "Fragments of contemporary poetry" (Where did Quasimodo go?!), "Exempli Gratia: Classic Poetry", French Symbolism", "Wallace Stevens", "Public Nudity", "the Art Thread", etc...

    What's your favorite sandwich?
    A corned-beef Reuben from Slyman's.

*What is your answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything?*?
    Sex and Death

    *Favorite poem?*
    Dante's Comedia

*First novel you remember reading on your own?*
Dr. Seuss' Green Eggs and Ham... if that doesn't count as a novel... then I'll go with The Wizard of Oz (I read the whole series series in 3rd grade).

*What era do you find most of the books you read are from?*
The 19th and 20th centuries probably run neck-n-neck.

    *Favorite TV shows?*
Off. I rarely ever watch any TV.

    *Last person you hugged/kissed?*
It better have been my wife, or I'm in trouble.

*What do you do (for a living) to be able to keep your LitNet addiction going? And are you happy with your chosen profession?*
I teach art in a rough urban school district. It has it's great moments, but there's a lot of negative aspects as well, and unfortunately it seems that these have gotten worse over time... thanks especially to politicians.

*What would you like to be if you could change your profession?*
Hold politicians and parents and students equally responsible.

*If you could change one thing about the way you look, what would that be?*
I could certainly stand to lose more than a few pounds.

*Which book do you wish you had written?*
Harry Potter... I'd be able to retire quite comfortably at a rather young age.

*What book would you recommend to others of all types and ages as a must read?*
    Italo Calvino's Invisible Cities.

*What should you be doing at the moment instead of answering these questions?*
    My lesson plans.

    *Favorite movie?*
    Casablanca

    *Last movie you watched?
    A Touch of Evil

*How are you going to pick just one favourite painting?*
Well... it certainly has got to have nekkid ladies. Seriously, there is no question in my mind. It has to be the Sistine frescoes by Michelangelo.

    *Wonderful Superman or depressing Batman?*
    Batman without a doubt.

What is the best thing that happened to you since your last birthday?
I didn't get laid off. Considering the current state of the schools here, that's pretty good.

    Are you currently intoxicated?
Should I be? I've got some good bottles of ale in the 'fridge... and it is my birthday in a few hours. Hmmm...?

I'd love un-moderated weeks or months, as long as Stlukes is here, keeping the site safe for adults! Thank you for what you bring to the forum Stlukes!
