Hi sleepy,
I had an idea it was Hitler, it usually is, it's a wonder he hasn't been blamed for global warming.
Incidentally, I am writing a novel in which Nuremberg is one of the locations. I know you live in Furth but do you know if there is still a small gastatte built into the side of the castle wall at the front of the building. I used to go there when I lived in Nuremberg.
