Yes. Provocation without artistry leads me to feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall while reading. It's too bad though, as he certainly has a unique voice and an admirable fierceness to his expression. Only, it's all for show, or it comes across as such, just a facade of an empty building, where is the substance? Oh well. Best wishes to you and your family for a wonderful New Year Virgil!
Your critique of WolLlarsen was right on. I've said similar things over the years to him as well, but probably never as comprehensive as that. It made me laugh. I've come to the conclusion that he just doesn't see it. One can be artistic while provocative but he's just provocative without any artistry.
Thanks Climber for that thread. When the book arrives and I peruse it, I'll let you know what I think.
thank you that does look quite interesting.. I actually started a thread a long time ago that's in the recesses of the Religious Texts section of the forum, based on this essay, as I found it quite interesting... the thread as all good religious section threads turned into a battleground for the atheist/theist argument, and then died.. haha anyways here's the link http://www.origins.org/articles/scha...angandgod.html
Climber I saw how you mentioned how plenty of PhD's believe in God. I just heard this fellow interviewed on his book and thought it worthy of ordering. Still waiting to get it in the mail: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/006..._ya_oh_product. This is another take on the whole notion of intelligent design, friom the DNA perspective. You can read the reviews. They are interesting too.
I'm well. Thank you. Nothing of any notice to report, either good or bad. I guess that's good at my age.
I've been pretty good, although the plummet back into work and real life was a little abrupt after months of sleeping in a tent and surfing almost every day.. oh well.. money seems to be a necessary thing in this world... How about you? How's your summer going so far?
Hey welcome back. Nice to see you. Hope you've been well.
Happy New Year Climber. I leave you with a present: http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=eG3afAIi6IQ. Now I'm not sure I like the back beat they put to it, but the video is fabulous.
Oh I could never do Canadian winters. That sounds great that you can just get up and move to Cali like that. Yes enjoy the sun. I'm fine thank you.
