These prints recall Edith Wharton's favorite fabrics and patterns - the fine toile de Jouy, with its depiction of the fable "A Miller, His Son, and Their Ass," graced Wharton's boudoirs at both Land's End in Newport, R.I., and The Mount in Lenox. The other, similar to a fabric that covered her dining room walls in Land's End, reflects her passion for gardens and flowers. Both are a part of the new Edith Wharton Restoration Collection by Schumacher (New York), created in collaboration with Edith Wharton Resoration, which is refurbishing The Mount in Lenox. The ...
