Beau Jest, the innovative ensemble of actors who write perform their own material, premiere their adaptation of "The War of the Worlds" today through June 6 at the Emerson Studio Theater on Beacon Hill.

The company has spent three years performing "Krazy Kat," which won a 1995 Boston Theater Award for best production and toured to the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, S.C.
