A TALK on Scottish essayist and historian Thomas Carlyle's views on heroes by Ian Campbell, a professor at Edinburgh University, is to be given at the National Gallery of Scotland.
It has been arranged as part of the exhibit Heroes - 19th- Century Self-Help Role Models, currently on show at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery.
The free talk is held tomorrow in the Hawthornden Lecture Theatre, in the National Gallery Complex, at 12.45pm
