While Linus, the Peanuts character, may have inspired many with security blanket dependencies, he's also the inspiration behind Project Linus, a program designed to give sick children the comfort and warmth of a blanket.
Last week, students at Booth Tarkington Elementary School in Wheeling participated in the program, lending their design skills for the completion of a quilt, which will be donated to a sick child. It's proof that you're never too young to give back to the community.
