A SUBURB of Dublin has finally staked its claim on the 19th century Irish writer whose work has inspired more than 700 gothic horror movies.

Retired schoolteacher Dennis McIntyre has spilled blood, sweat and tears to get funding for a museum dedicated to the creator of Dracula, Bram Stoker,

The multi-million pound museum and interpretation centre dedicated to horror will open in Stoker's birthplace of Clontarf in June.

It is tipped to be one of the most exciting attractions in Europe and has already won huge interest from around the world.
