Nobody dressed for the party. Had Count Dracula materialized to toast his own 100th birthday, he would have been the only one in fangs. Last weekend's NYU conference marking the centennial of Bram Stoker's classic Victorian tale wasn't designed for goths. The $145 admission fee worked like a cross and a garlic clove to repel them.
