Dear Cade,
As you turn 3 this week, I'm reminded of how much you've changed since last year's letter to you. You're taller, stronger and string sentences together that generally get your point across even if they sometimes include a few mangled or made-up words. You could be president someday.
A high percentage of those sentences end with question marks. You are the living embodiment of the title of that Sherwood Anderson short story, "I Want to Know Why."
