Remotely interesting: Tim Weigel will be a posthumous recipient of the inaugural Ring Lardner Awards when they're given out Thursday in a dinner ceremony at the Chicago Athletic Association, 12 S. Michigan Ave. The longtime sports anchor, who worked at WMAQ Channel 5, WLS Channel 7 and WBBM Channel 2, will be honored along with CBS Sports announcer and former Channel 5 sports anchor Greg Gumbel and longtime sports editor and columnist Ray Sons.
