Romance, Revenge in 'Lorna Doone'

Amelia Warner stars as the maiden torn between love and bloodshed in "Lorna Doone," a three-hour film making its North American premiere Sunday at 8 p.m. on A&E Network.

Based on R.D. Blackmore's novel and set against the backdrop of England's lawless West Country in the 1680s, the story is packed with romance, revenge and family warfare.

Aidan Gillen co-stars as the villainous Carver Doone, whom Lorna is condemned to marry. Richard Coyle plays the commoner Lorna loves, a young farmer dedicated to avenging his father's death.
