MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 14, 2002

PLATO Learning, Inc. (Nasdaq:TUTR) today announced that Mr. Thomas G. Hudson, Mr. Joseph Duffy and Ms. Ruth L. Greenstein have joined its Board of Directors effective today. Two of the appointments will replace departing board members, Dr. Jack R. Borsting and Dr. Hurdis M. Griffith, who leave the PLATO Board today. The third appointment will fill a vacancy that was created when General Vernon B. Lewis left the Board in early 2001.
