Does Plato Learning, a survivor of the e-learning shakeout since it was spun out of the former Control Data 15 years ago, have the right stuff to lead students to improved performance and shareholders to enhanced profitability?

The electronic-learning company, which sells educational software and services to schools, is expected to report about a loss of $2.3 million, or 14 cents a share, on record revenue of $75 million for the fiscal year that ends in October.
