THE adaptation of a P G Wodehouse story by renowned farce and comedy writer John Chapman about a series of misadventures stemming from the appointment of a pig-handler by a rival high society family is a disappointing affair.

Chapman strives to be faithful to the famous author but the outcome is an overlong three-hour comedy that becomes bogged down in its own tedium, with corny and juvenile situations and laugh lines.

The opening night production was fragmentary and slow, had problems with late entries and the cast failed to settle into their accustomed strides.
