The great American jurist Oliver Wendell Holmes once stated the sentiment that every American has the duty to pay only so much tax as they are legally required. As an Ohio tax official, I believe in this sentiment. Everyone should pay every penny that's due the government for the benefits and services the government provides. But not a single penny more. Unfortunately many businesses and individuals fail to take advantage of all of the tax incentives and reductions available to them under Ohio law.
