VIRGINIA BEACH -- VIRGINIA BEACH - John Milton Hollis, 82, a native of Portsm outh, passed away Jan. 23, 2006. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, Portsmouth, The College of William and Mary, Class of '44 and Marshall-Wythe School of Law.
Formerly, he was the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia and a partner in the law firm of Willcox, Savage. During World II he served as a naval officer on the USS Hayter, DE-212.
