Torquay United chief executive Colin Lee and manager Paul Buckle have both paid tribute to volunteer scout and helping hand John Milton, who has been working hard at Plainmoor over the past few weeks.

A former scout with Northampton, Grimsby and Yeovil, Milton originally came to the club last month with Leroy Rosenior, whose second spell as boss at Plainmoor lasted just one day.

A renowned scout and big United fan, he offered his services to Lee and Buckle and has become an integral part of the Gulls' backroom team, particularly in terms of player recruitment.
