(Lines 1-94) Adam awakes with the first hint of dawn and is surprised to
discover that Eve is still asleep. She looks, too, as though her rest has
been a disturbed one. He calls to her in a gentle whisper. She wakes up and,
embracing Adam, says that she is glad to look again upon him and on the
morning. For she had had an evil dream. "I heard a voice I thought was yours
