The Greater Good, a new opera by Stephen Hardce, based on Philip Littell's dramatic adaptation of die Guy de Maupassant story Boule de Suif, received its premiere in July 2006 at Glimmerglass Opera. Naxos has captured that production, recorded live over the course of several performances, in diis laudable new release.
