There are ways by which young African-American people can meaningfully honor Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. One is to hold campus and community teach-ins on their birthdays. This should serve not only to provide a full understanding of the thoughts and contributions of these two great men but also to inspire others to face the challenges of being African-Americans. Another way they can commemorate the lives of Malcolm and Luther King is to serve other people, including those who are not African Americans.
