This year marks the 20th anniversary of the federal holiday that recognizes Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday. And across the country Americans remembered the late civil rights leader's words and works by joining together in various activities to keep the King legacy alive.

One of the highlights of the King holiday was provided by Dr. King's widow, Coretta Scott King, who arrived with her children at the King Center's annual Salute to Greatness Dinner in Atlanta.
