Martin Luther King series opens at Clarion
Psychiatrist Dr. Alvin Poussaint will open the Clarion University of Pennsylvania's Martin Luther King Jr. Speaker's series Oct. 12 at 7:30 p.m. in Hart Chapel. The presentation is free and open to the public.
The theme of the 1999-2000 Martin Luther King Jr. Series is "Moving Into the New Millennium." Poussaint, an author, psychiatrist, and respected social critic, will address this theme with his presentation, "Legacies and Future of the Civil Rights Movement."
