WASHINGTON, April 17 -- Sen. John Kerry, D-Massachusetts, has introduced the Martin Luther King Jr., Records Collection Act (S. 2499), legislation that would "provide for the expeditious disclosure of records relevant to the life and assassination of Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr."

The bill, introduced on April 4, was referred to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
