Martin Luther King Branch of the New Orleans Public Library officially reopened

The Martin Luther King Branch of the New Orleans Public Library officially reopened today after being destroyed by Hurricane Katrina two years ago. The Recovery School District renovated the building, and the Gates Foundation's Gulf Coast Libraries Project is funding its operation for three years at 1611 Caffin Ave. at the Martin Luther King Jr. Charter School for Science & Technology in the Lower Ninth Ward.

It is open to students at the school and the general public.
