WHAT: To honor the lifetime achievements of Martin Luther King Jr., the Newseum and D.C. Public Library will host a special "Reading King" day at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library. ABC 7 News reporter Sam Ford will narrate Walter Dean Myers's book, "I've Seen the Promised Land: The Life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr." to area elementary students. Visiting children will also have the opportunity to write letters to Dr. King as if here were alive today, and hear performances by the Thomson Elementary School choir.
